I always thought I put myself first and was very proud of myself for that. Until I realized I don’t actually do that. In fact, actually doing something for myself and being unapologetic about putting my needs first feels so alien and comes with such guilt. But I’m glad I’ve been making an effort towards my relationship with myself and have been growing doing so 🙂
