Parents told us not to talk to strangers and then brought a rishta home :)) Hope you enjoyed this scene from Sunflower season 2 ♥️🌻
So for the whole month of Feb I did a social media detox. No instagram for a MONTH. And it was so good for me. This constant subconscious habit and pathways that are paved in your brain for you to keep comparing yourself and your life and your art with anyone and everyone. It takes away from who you really are. And you did it to yourself! You might not be active on social media, but you’re a participant for sure. Watching, liking, scrolling on the outside and crumbling, comparing, wishing, cursing or just being BLANK on the inside. Since when did we become blank?! Scary! So much input. Input. Input. Input. So much input, then processing in your brain and then right before you can swallow it, MORE INPUT! No time nor bandwidth for output. So so sad. If we don’t detach from this and start seeing it just as a tiny fragment of life, we’re losing. Now that I’m back here, I’m back with very different reasons and very different ideas on how to use this app. I really want to know from you – How do you enjoy it and utilize it and use it as a tool – to share, to connect, to be inspired?? What is your way?? Let me know in the comments or dm me because this is important ⚡️ Photos by @akshay_kerlekar Hair and makeup @sanky_mua

Old hollywood dreams. New Bollywood life. Still looking for the smaller earthy bits in a large, shiny world. Maybe it’s not outside, but inside somewhere. @kaustub_kamble photography @cocomumbai styling @drishtiagarwal_artistry hair and makeup 🫶🏻 with @toabhcreative @toabhentertainment

Our film @amaltashthefilm release story is literally ‘The story of the Underdog.’ This is six years in the making. First a battle to finance the film, then a battle to make it, then a battle to sell it, and then a battle to release it and bring it to you ♥️ and it was all worth it because we did it with a team like family 🥂 Although I personally haven’t acted in the film Amaltash, I’ve been associated with it in spirit as the team is my family. We made a unique, real and heartfelt love story. Very different from what you see now a days. And we applied even more irregular ways to make it reach you. Everyone said – ‘Sorry Hum nahi help kar payenge’, so we decided to help ourselves. I’m so proud of what @suhas.d.e.s.a.l.e @noopurbora @pallavi_paranjape9 @rahuldeshpandeofficial and the whole team have achieved. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do it! Just believe in yourself, give it your heart and you’ll find your people. We found you, the audience – and that’s the biggest win for a movie. Watching the exit door reactions and the kind words by veterans like Vishal Bharadwaj and Nikhil Mahajan gives us validation that yes, ab toh jo bhi karna hai idk se karna hai. Please keep cheering on independent cinema. It’s YOUR cinema. Go to Bookmyshow and book your tickets for Amaltash now! ♥️🩵 We look forward to your comments and reviews.
Leave the world aside and be in your own world once in a while 🌻🌊 On another note, have you wondered why humans have favourites? A favourite chair that you always sit on at your house, a favourite mug that you can’t explain why, but out of all the ones you own you keep using? Once you have a pleasant experience using something, and you keep using that one thing, your brain makes new neurological pathways to record the touch, taste, smell and most importantly – the feeling of that object. How it feels on your skin, how your arm wraps around it and how your heart calms down knowing the sense of familiarity. It’s like – even if the world is crumbling, for this moment I’ll be fine. This particular mug is my mums, dad’s AND my favourite. So you can understand the energies that are sitting in it. I wonder if this applies to people too. HMU @sanky_mua PHOTOS BY @akshay_kerlekar

I’ve always wanted to go to Banaras. I kept saying ‘one day, one day’. And then I got the chance to play Antari in UP65 set in the heart of UP and the heart of India – Banaras itself! The most amazing day was when we shot a scene at the Ganga Aarti. We reached early, set up the camera in the boats (yes, boats) and waited for the magic to start. All my senses were at 500% capacity. It was other worldly. Kabhi kabhi bhawan wants to give you something in the best way he/she can. Who are you to be restless and complain?

For true art, for the crazy ones who don’t conform, it’s always a struggle. Independent cinema needs a push now more than ever. If you’re a filmmaker, having given your EVERYTHING to make your art, ofcourse you want people to come watch your film in theatres. It’s what we literally live for. We all do. In Amaltash’s case, people want to see it but cinemas don’t want to screen it. This is where you can do your bit and it will take NO money and literally 2 mins of your time. Just call and email your nearest cinema houses and tell them you would love to watch Amaltash and that you wish it were in their theatre. That’s it! Such a tiny task. Please urge! Wouldn’t you want someone to do this for your film too? Indie cinema belongs to ALL of us 🩵 please help, it will go a long way for this very deserving, very beautiful film. Do it , and it will come back to you too ♥️ take the spirit along! @rahuldeshpandeofficial @noopurbora @pallavi_paranjape9 @bhushanmate @matedeepti @ruchi.rupramka @suhas.d.e.s.a.l.e
