I’ve been commissioned several times for confetti skies paintings set at various places around the globe but this very first one, against a storm lifting over the Hudson, resonates with how I was feeling at the time and makes me ask myself if my optimism is dwindling amidst the horrors we are witnessing everyday, and what role art can possibly play. I’m proud of this piece, and happy that it lives with cherished friends. If anything, it has been witness to many gatherings of people who are dear to one another.
