a poem by me inspired by “A Young Girl Defending Herself against Eros” painting by William-Adolphe Bouguereau
I took myself on a date to the @gettymuseum , and challenged myself to find inspiration for poems from the various beautiful works on display. it wasn’t much of a challenge 🤍
I absolutely adore this painting, and this poem is the imagined plea from this young girl, to Eros, the Greek god of love.
