That’s why catching chronic diseases before they escalate is key — and something we (and the system) often neglect to do until it’s too late. So, this year one of my 2024 goals was to get a full body scan. Our bodies often whisper warnings; it’s important to listen.    I was nervous… Maybe it was fear of the unknown, of what the scan might uncover… But the peace of mind I gained was beyond measure. The results shed light on some issues that are luckily still manageable, but will require continued monitoring. Not a squeaky clean result, but it does empower me to be pursue preventive measures before things get worse.   I discovered that my headaches and back pain weren’t just “typical discomforts” from stress or overdoing it at the gym. I actually have two herniated discs in my spine — Yikes! I’ve since been able to get treatment and feel DRAMATICALLY better. No more constant headaches and back pain.
