Tiya Sircar Instagram – They say never meet your heroes. Well, I did just that last week and “they” were WRONG. Past recipients @detemeserve and Jack McBrayer along with @rotaryla5 awarded THE @levar.burton with this year’s Good Sam Award and I got to meet one of my heroes since childhood (thank you, Dete!). Mr. Burton was so kind and thoughtful and eloquent and inspiring. Truly just the COOLEST. Real talk? I wanna be LeVar Burton when I grow up.
Oh! And if you didn’t know, the Good Sam Award is inspired by Dete Meserve’s wonderful book, Good Sam (go get you a copy!), which then inspired our movie, Good Sam, which you can watch on @netflix.
