The land in the Middle East has number of touchstones for my family, my name is drawn from those connections. But I have never set foot there, I never felt I had the capacity to hold so many conflicting notions and visit with a clear heart. This war is vast and deep, historically ancient, complex and wrought with pain – all beyond the scope of my comprehension. But I do know this, the current violence is taking us further and further from peace. And peace must surely be our purpose.##### IMPORTANT ADDITION = For those of you posting flags in connection to my post, respectfully, I ask you not to. I do not stand for ‘a side’ or behind any flag that is well beyond my comprehension let alone my identity. That is tribalism at work – that seeks to divide, a world where you have to choose a side (and continue the battle footing). With this post I support peace – which practically is a long and delicate process – that will not involve little me or most of us in social media land. My post is a simple statement that first step towards peace seems to be the cessation of violence. This includes a release of hostages which is stated clearly in the letter. Sending love to you all. ❤️ Our big kid started school today, our littlest came to cheer her on. Big kid was brave and funny and didn’t look back. So many moments of letting go and loving more than you ever thought possible. I don’t talk about our kids here, or much about my personal life out of a desire to protect them and protect our world. But my focus on giving a shit, working for hope and taking deeper responsibility comes from these kids and that man holding them. They are making me who I hope to become. So, as big kid goes off to school I pay tribute to her, her sister, their dad for the most revolutionary education I could ever hope to receive. Heartbreak upon heartbreak. Praying for an end to violence. Samer Fouad Al-Talalka, Alon Lulu Shamriz and Yotam Haim. #ceasefire A goodnight story for you. There’s a goodnight kiss at the end if you need that too. ‘The Dog that Ate the World’ by Sandra Dieckmann @sandradieckmann Is it possible to have more nuanced conversations? Do we have space for consideration over declaration? Asking for a friend…♥️☮️ Talking to people who are different to me is good for me. Curiosity and learning is also very good for me. Just a little note to self/everyone one else. ❤️ This could change everything. Uncle Paul and Uncle Pabai are First Nations leaders from Guda Maluyligal in the Torres Strait. They’re taking the Federal Government to court over rising sea levels and climate harm to their Island homes. Next week, there will be a week-long hearing on the @australianclimatecase.The Australian Climate Case is the most consequential case for climate change in Australian legal history. A win in The Uncles case could force the Australian government to reduce emissions in line with the “best available science” — which is a 75% emissions cut this decade. We’re lucky to have Uncle Pabai and Uncle Paul in this fight, they deserve our attention and our thanks. There’s still hope while there’s still time to act. So I’m taking the moment to invite you to come BLAZIN’ with me and support @_hineighbour as we up-skill workers moving into renewables and reduce CO2 as we do it! It’s our first public fundraiser and we just want to know that you’re with us, so fling us 5 bucks and come along for the ride, it’s gonna be great! Link in my profile 🔥 Sharing explorations by the extraordinary writer @rebeccasolnit from ‘A Field Guide to Getting Lost’ it’s a beautiful book – particularly suited if everyone is telling you to get lost. Nothing heavy, just a Monday morning musing about the playful intersection of art and geopolitics. My love to you all. Jack’s incredible book ‘Hoodie Economics’ is still rocking the big shelf at the airport after 4 months of blowing perceptions about how the world could work differently. So proud of this man, so proud of his work. ❤️🐉 @hardiegrantbooks #hoodieeconomics #jackmanningbancroft #aimementoring The delightful Jess Tovey and I had a sweet conversation about feeling it might be time to go further with climate change action. And what to do next. If this is you – then this is for you! Thank you Jess ❤️ @jessieliz1 Apologies that there are no captions -couldn’t work out how to make that happen with IG live. @_hineighbour @_hineighbour So proud of this work we’re doing together ❤️ Repost from @_hineighbour SPOILER – there’s some heavy dad pride at the end! Big thanks to lovely Josh and Phil for sharing their family story. Thanks to wonderful volunteers who put together this story, Jack, Anna, Duncan and Elana. And to Rhys for being so generous with his home and his time. Please let us know what you think about this story. Do you have any questions? Are you curious about future rounds? Let us know if it’s unclear why this work is important. We’d love your support to roll out more scholarships to get local talent into renewables. We actually can’t do it without you. If you’re keen please check out the link in our profile to donate. THANKS NEIGHBOURS! New shapes @_hineighbour event FUTURE/PROOF. Talking renewables and hoping for complex coming together on issues – moving away from the polarised yes verses no. ♥️ to all TagsYael Stone Previous articleActress Soyou HD Photos and Wallpapers April 2024Next articleActress Yoon Seung-ah HD Photos and Wallpapers April 2024
