I can’t believe today marks the second anniversary of your transition! Time has become so strange to comprehend. You’re still so alive in my heart and in my mind and in the memories we shared. I still feel your presence so much, but the thought of never seeing you in your physical form again overwhelms me from time to time. But the Lord has cuddled me and our beautiful family in His arms, and we continue to move, to hope, to dream.🙏🏾

We still do a lot of the things we did together, travel with the fam, eat your favorite food, play your favorite music, dance and laugh! As I sit here typing this, that morning is replaying in my head. The anxiety, the excitement, the anticipation! I couldn’t wait to hold you in my arms! Your dad never left my side for a moment!😍 When you arrived he cut your umbilical cord. He was the first to hold you before they placed you safely on my chest. I couldn’t stop marveling at how beautiful and perfect you were! And you have been that for the past 21 years!🥰

Dando, Bombo, Sho’s Duplicate, Miss “my daddy’s gonna fix my teeth!”🤣 I thank God for you everyday!🙏🏾 I can’t believe my baby, my last born child is 21 today! Sad that it’s coming to an end but also grateful for the opportunity to produce close to 6.5 seasons of a show that gave the young black producer the courage to say, IT IS POSSIBLE!

@mzansimagic Thank you for taking a chance on Sho and I, and giving us our 1st opportunity as producers with the first ever drama series on the platform ROCKVILLE. A few other dramas followed after that, but THE QUEEN has been our biggest break so far! It allowed us to do what had been our greatest desire, to create employment for over 100 cast and crew for 6.5 years, giving our staff the opportunity to improve their lives and those of their families. How excited and scared I was at the same time. The anxiety of wanting everything to go right, so I could finally lay my eyes on you and hold you in my arms.

You scared the crap out of me when you didn’t cry! My heart stopped for a moment and my whole world was spinning! It was like living my worst nightmare! After a few “slaps” and clearing your mouth, you let out the most beautiful cry I’ve ever heard! So loud and bold! A fitting announcement that a DIVA was in the room!

I was so overwhelmed with joy I went into a hysterical fit of crying and laughing at the same time! You were my first tangible experience of a miracle. My first born child. The most beautiful sight for my sore eyes!

As you turn 30 today, I want to remind you of your light “LESEDI” that shines so brightly it cannot be ignored, of your gentle “BONOLO” yet bold spirit, that is nurturing and caring, and of the love that you so freely give.

My prayer for you my baby, is for you to know that God loves you so much! That in spite of the challenges life throws at us, He will never leave nor forsake you. Connie Ferguson - 163.7K Likes - Ma Dude, this life thing is just not the same without you! I have stopped trying to understand or asking why? But nine months later, it still doesn’t feel real. My whole life feels like a dream. To say I miss you would be the biggest understatement! To go from doing absolutely EVERYTHING with someone, and suddenly not have them there with you physically, is the most crippling feeling to say the least! Days are long, nights are long, but time seems to have stood still! It’s difficult to put into words how life feels without you around. I’m still learning to walk again, to smile, to laugh! Times are hard but God is very present in my life. I’m still able to get up in the morning and do what needs to be done. All glory to Him! I keep asking myself how and remember His words in Isaiah 41:10; “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
I will continue putting all my hope and trust in the Lord, and believe His plans to give me “a hope and a future.”

So today we celebrate you my LOVE! A legend, a man who loved without reservation, whose smile lit up the world, with an echoing laugh that melted hearts! A big guy with a big heart, whose sole purpose in life, was to positively impact the lives of those he encountered, in person or remotely!
