Joe Manganiello Instagram - Man… this is tough. It’s so hard to say goodbye when you know you’ll never see someone again who meant so much to you. Someone who believed in you, and fought for you, and saw things in you that most people didn’t. Everyone should be so lucky to have a friend like that. Well, I did, and today I have to say goodbye.
Today the world lost one of the greatest comedic geniuses of all time. Paul was subversive, brilliant, witty, and had the biggest heart on the planet… anyone on his Birthday mailing list will know what I mean… He was a visionary who was so far ahead of his time and had one of the scariest eyes for talent I’ve ever seen. He was responsible for breaking so many incredible actors (see everyone in Pee Wee’s Playhouse), directors (Tim Burton), and composers (Danny Elfman). He was an artist and a weirdo who fought for other artists and weirdos and the world was a much better place because it had him in it. He was one of the most recognizable faces in the world, an icon, but yet he was still somehow this lovable underdog. I’m just so glad that I got to be a part of his life and ultimately his comeback. I saw how tirelessly he showed up for people and his work with such joy,
I feel lucky that I could always be there for him when he needed me… best friends forever. RIP

Joe Manganiello Instagram - GOLD’S GYM • VENICE

Ten years later…

It was one thing to get into the kind of shape I was in when we shot that @muscleandfitness cover above my head way back then but it’s an entirely different thing to be in this kind of shape now.
Its like I’ve lived nine lives since that shoot a decade ago but here I am, breaking personal records in and out of the gym, stronger than ever…
Training has always been my best friend. Whatever you put in, you get out… “This you can trust.”

I want to give a shout out first and foremost to my trainer of 14 years @ronmathews, the late Dr. Jim Mooney, the late Shawn Perine, the late Joe Weider, Arnold of course, Jeff and the Gold’s staff, & all of the other guys on the Gold’s wall who I had on my wall growing up. Lou, Franco, Frank, Lee, Dorian… there just isn’t a bucket list for having your picture hung on the Gold’s Gym wall… I never would have dared say that out loud, but here we are… unreal.

This is for all of the kids out there who couldn’t do one pull up or one dip into high school, it’s not how you start the race, it’s how you finish… oh, and you never finish.

Joe Manganiello Instagram - Got the band back together after three years of remote play and no play…
WAR OF DRAGONS Episode 73 kicked off with a food truck and a two hour recap from the very first adventure five years ago, all the way through to the present.
The Sandal of Gygax made its appearance as it settled into its new home for the next calendar year at The E. Gary Gygax Memorial Dungeon in Beverly Park next to a set of Gary’s dice gifted to me by his son Luke for my 42nd birthday a few years back.
Vince spearheaded a surprise for me, a framed piece of art by Max Dunbar that was used to craft the Wizkids miniatures sets, including all of the characters in the group but this time, with a looming Tiamat above. So f-ing cool…
It was a blast seeing everyone in person! Can’t wait for the next session.

Joe Manganiello Instagram - The team at @archvillaingames have been taking miniature gaming to the next level as of late, so I had to get myself their brand new DEMORGOGON sculpt and have it masterfully painted by @stevenoaksart. if you want to shock your players at the table, this is the one…

Joe Manganiello Instagram - It’s been 108 years since the ARMENIAN GENOCIDE of 1915, the first genocide of the 20th century in which over 1.5 million Armenians were systematically massacred in an attempt to erase not only their individual lives but the entire Armenian culture.
If it weren’t for my great-grandmother who survived unspeakable things after losing her husband and eight children, I wouldn’t be here today to tell her story.
As a descendant of a survivor, I have an obligation to tell her story and bring attention in the hopes that all present and future genocides will be stopped. 🇦🇲

Joe Manganiello Instagram - The week in review…

As we are almost a week away from the DEAL OR NO DEAL ISLAND premiere Monday February 26th, we got together at Hollywood & Highland to play some games with the crowd of fans that showed up…

I headed off-grid to shoot a music video with my buddy Billy Morrison while Bubbles made a new friend…

Found some time to get some shading done with Small Paul…

And celebrated Valentine’s Day with Tool & Caitlin… ❤️

Joe Manganiello Instagram - I’ve been around the world and seen a lot of incredible things but U2 last night at The Sphere is probably the most mind blowing thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Besides the visuals which are absolutely not to be believed, Bono sounded incredible live, The Edge and the band were fantastic. I’m lacking the words here… it was a religious experience.

Joe Manganiello Instagram - In case you were wondering what I did this past summer… PART II

1. I played Vince Vaughn’s best friend in a hilarious & heartfelt comedy called NONNAS. It was directed by Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) who coincidentally grew up in the next town over from me back in Pittsburgh. It also stars a who’s who of Italian American actors: Susan Sarandon, Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Brenda Vaccaro, Linda Cardellini, & Drea DeMateo. Its all about being Italian & making Italian food & it’ll hit theaters next year…
2. I got a tour of the legendary Explorers Club in NYC by world traveler/explorer & old friend Justin Fornal…
3. I finished filming for the Official 50 Year History of Dungeons & Dragons Documentary I directed & produced…
4. I commandeered a new dice bag backstage at the second Sofi Metallica show…
5. After completing a lifelong mission by turning in the pilot episode for the Dragonlance streaming show i was hired to write and show run, I flew to Indianapolis to host the Dragonlance panel at GenCon with my two favorite NYTimes bestselling fantasy authors… Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman…
6. Bubbles & I taking the stage for a performance at Puccini’s Teatro del Giglio in Lucca Italy…
7. Laying my eyes for the first time on one of the most inspiring places I’ve ever been to… The Medieval Manhattan: San Gimignano…
8. Channeling my best Clint Eastwood outside of an ancient church in the walled Medieval town of Monterrigioni…
9. Introducing The Leaning Tower of Pisa to my favorite Slayer t-shirt…
10. Catching up with my old friend & stunt double of almost 23 years Oliver Keller in Zürich Switzerland. Note: that morning I flew in from Firenze, & that night we headed out across the border to have dinner in Germany. Three countries, one day… not bad for a wandering Ronin and his pet chihuahua…

Joe Manganiello - 329K Likes - Man… this is tough.
RIP

RIP

Caption : Man… this is tough. It’s so hard to say goodbye when you know you’ll never see someone again who meant so much to you. Someone who believed in you, and fought for you, and saw things in you that most people didn’t. Everyone should be so lucky to have a friend like that. Well, I did, and today I have to say goodbye.

Joe Manganiello - 68.6K Likes - Got the band back together after three years of remote play and no play…

If it weren’t for my great-grandmother who survived unspeakable things after losing her husband and eight children, I wouldn’t be here today to tell her story.
As a descendant of a survivor, I have an obligation to tell her story and bring attention in the hopes that all present and future genocides will be stopped. 🇦🇲

My OUT MAGAZINE cover shoot with photographer @matthewbrookesphoto

TRUE BLOOD was red hot and headed into season five, we had just wrapped the first MAGIC MIKE, and my beard was still mostly brown…

PS - Matthew and I just reunited for a shoot today, so stay tuned for that. The man is a genius.

Besides the visuals which are absolutely not to be believed, Bono sounded incredible live, The Edge and the band were fantastic. I’m lacking the words here… it was a religious experience.
