The day after our show last week in KL, I visited the Murugan Temple at Batu Caves. I’ve been wanting to go pray there for a while. As you enter you see this huge statue of Muruga, and then you climb 272 steps to enter the caves where the temple is. It’s really beautiful.
singing this piece there was a blessing, it was reminder of how deeply personal an individual’s relationship with God is, and how worship in all forms is sacred.

Yesterday was one of those days where the stage felt like home.
Growing up in the suburbs in Fremont was mundane on most days. Having magical, grandiose dreams wasn’t really a thing, like the kind of dreams that change cultural currents. But I’ve been blessed to have a strong unit of divergent thinkers around me my whole life.
If you had told 9 year old me that I’d close my @coachella set with the Thiruppugazh my mother had just taught me, I probably would’ve chuckled and went back to day dreaming. Fast forward to 2024, first ever South Indian artist to play the festival.
On the days where the stage truly feels like home, and you’re with your brothers, you get the absolute privilege of tapping into what feels like the infinite. Yesterday felt boundless and free, I am grateful beyond belief.
My name is Sid Sriram, I was born in Chennai, India and I grew up in the Bay Area, California. I come from a discipline called Carnatic music, I’m proud of every damn part of who I am, and I promise you we are on our way to changing the tides of music/love/healing around the whole world.

The Bay Area will always have my heart, 510 will forever be home. Felt like I was hovering above ground the whole night at @augusthallsf. Y’all had me choked up during Dear Sahana. My folks were in the audience, had so many loved ones pull up. @scathandramusic killed their opening set, as is custom. Im forever indebted to this place for playing such a fundamental role in making me who I am. As brother @tunji said right before I signed with @defjam “from the Bay to the world”

Kaliyuga, end of a cycle not the end of existence
i wasn’t sure if i’d ever post this… after his coachella performance last week, i took a look back and realized i owed this to you guys and his fans.
last year, I was on the road with @sidsriram while he was on an opening tour for @boniver , one of our rest stops was spent in a parking lot in Fargo, North Dakota. we talked about how his album ‘Sidharth’ came to life after he met the legendary producer Ryan Olson and how spirituality tied into everything.
