It was a black-hole that @teebirdyfly and I couldn’t easily pull ourselves out of. His ‘manner of speaking’ reminded me specifically of my SoBo inhabiting, Marian friends (shout out St. Mary’s Boys). And then I learned the school that he was from, and it was OBVIOOO.. But this was a side-note. One fine day I slid into his DMs because I HAD to know why the ducking duck he kept referring to himself as ‘Michelle Obama’ in his segues (this research, you may do yourselves). Last evening, we finally met after I watched him film his special – the very aptly titled ‘Manchild’ – to a packed auditorium. An absolute riot, that you should watch whenever and wherever you have the opportunity. Congratulations @sirraunaqrajani on an absolute banger of a show and also for managing to actually get me out of my home. Support comedy, friends. What a night. #LordCurzonKiHaveli had it’s UK premiere at the @ukasianfilmfest last night, giving me the elusive opportunity to have the UK fam at a screening. And boy, did my people show UP! Thank you, each one of you (and everyone that isn’t in this photo because of that damn ‘last train back’) for making my night so, SO special. Will remember this night forever. This film has been doing festival rounds since August last year and we can’t wait to give you all a release announcement soon!
