Hideaway is probably one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written…have ya heard it?
10 years ago I put out my first album Bring You Back. Looking at the album cover of this bright eyed kid, I can’t help but be proud of the courage and bravery to go after this wild dream…At that time I don’t think I even knew what fear was and I was gonna do whatever it took. This album launched me on a rocket that I could have never dreamed of….that journey has brought many challenges, trips around the world, the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. I am so thankful for every part of it and I am forever grateful for all of you that made these songs a part of your life from the very start and for believing in me to grow into the artist I am today. To everyone that was a part of helping putting this album together, thank you, you are beautiful creative souls. A very exciting next chapter of the story is about to begin, but for today I will celebrate and soak this in🎉 love ya PS…in celebration, there’s a bonus track that just came out today called “Adios Old Friend” for the 10th anniversary edition. It was supposed to go on the Bring you Back album but I decided to wait and save it for a special moment for another album, crazy it turns out to be the same album it was going to be on, but a decade later:) this is one of my favorite story songs that I’ve ever been a part of writing and that glorious voice in the background is that incredible @leeannwomack , one of my favorite singers on earth:) give it a listen

Every part of the journey counts…here’s high school me, posing for my first “album cover”(my mom took this at my grandmas house😂)…sometimes I wish I could go back and tell him to never worry about a thing, and that it’s all gonna work out…oh and maybe to take it easy on the frosted tips…but to be honest, as much as a lot of parts of life and growing up are tough and heart breaking, the lessons ya learn from living through them make ya the bad ass person that ya are…a lot of these lessons got me to the second picture, my new album SONGS ABOUT YOU…it comes from the realest part of me yet, the most determined and confident part of me, and damn it feels good…I hope you discover a part of yourself in all these songs about you:)
