We lost a true great. A true legend. What an honor to have been able to give him his flowers on his last day of his final film “The Color Purple” where he played my father. Fantasia sang it best…He ran his race for us. We are forever indebted. May we stand firmly on his shoulders. Lift him up today. R.I.P.

Proud to be included in the 2024 #TIME100 list. See the full list here: time.com/time100 !!! If I could tell that wide eyed artist 33 years ago that this would be true. ✨ What a Journey this life is. Thank you @lennykravitz for such beautiful words. I love you brother.
To be 100 of anything is beyond. To be included as one of @time most influential people in the world for this season is truly meaningful. Last night In a beautiful room above Central Park gathered Nobel Laureates, Innovators, Acclaimed Artists, Humanitarians, Disruptors and so many kind souls. I was awed by so many. To be included, awed. That is the word. Time. Time is something else. 🕰️✨✨✨✨#time100
What a @time to be. 🕰️ @nytimes @kristaschlueter 📸 #time100 @waymanandmicah @casablancabrand @debeersofficial @jessicasmalls 🥰😎🎉🎉🎉🎉 @wolfkasteler ✨
😮💨😮💨😮💨. Still coming down. @vanityfair 🤩
Last night in the middle of Times Square we wrapped The Madness for Netflix. What a time we had. We started in Toronto a little over a year ago, paused when the actors strike began, regrouped and came back with an Atlanta shoot for a week, then exteriors in Philadelphia (shooting on the corner of my childhood block no less) and finished shooting near my old apartment on 43rd and 9th. Surreal. We did it. Truly there has been some magic made. Too many folks, departments, casts and producers to name but I will shout out a few who made this ride so very wonderful. My producing director Clement Virgo, A class act all the way. Stephen Belber and VJ Boyd my incredible and talented showrunners. My leading lady @marshastephanieblake who could not have been a better scene partner. Thank you @netflix and Chernin Entertainment. A dear shout out to Kaitlin my dedicated producer and Boris my outstanding DP and Greg my very best 1st AD. All my people on the Madness in every city, THANK YOU. This is the song that I played for Muncie in my early days of finding him. Thank you my friends and family who stopped by and some that I just rolled up on in Manhattan while shooting for cheering me on to the finish line of The Madness. Coming soon.

7 years ago today I laid my eyes on Kyoto. Stayed with me ever since. Go somewhere to be changed. 🇯🇵

Congratulations to my friends at IWC on the opening of their New York City flagship boutique on Madison Avenue. While I couldn’t make it to their get together last night, I’m looking forward for a proper tour next time I’m in New York. I’m sure I’ll love it just as much as I love the Portugieser Perpetual Calendar 44 with the Obsidian black dial that I’ve been wearing. @iwcwatches_us @iwcwatches #IWCwatches #IWCportugieser #ad @monsieur_wyzard.tiff 📸

@kingofbingo’s @willychavarrianewyork Met Gala look included elements that were an homage to the men who came before him, specifically the late André Leon Talley.
