After 15 years of performance training straight into a year of rehab, I needed a break. I took almost an entire year away from the gym. But after a while, I started to notice I didn’t feel like myself. I didn’t feel strong anymore. I wasn’t as motivated & I felt overall worse… I didn’t like it. So I went back to work. I hated lifting when I raced, it was my least favorite part of training. I honestly never thought I would lift heavy again. Now that it’s not my job anymore, I love it. Funny how that works 😂😂 Before a super busy and exciting summer (more on that soon) I decided to test and see just what I could do. I wanted to be back in the 400 club, so after a ton of training I hit 405 then kept going. 420 & 425 for a new lifetime max. Hell yeah. Shoutout to no instagram Kyle for the programs 💪🏼

In honor of Nevada reading week I stopped by my old elementary school and read to the kids! It was so fun to be back at my old school all these years later. I read a book all about the outdoors with the entire third grade, then stopped by my oldest friend’s first grade classroom and was completely set up to read the most ridiculous book ever. Made a donation to the library of my favorite children’s book as well 😀
