This is me – about 6 weeks before I went to rehab. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever share it, but I continue to receive messages about my book asking “were you really as bad as you say? You always looked and acted okay.” Do I look “okay?” Forget that I’m bloated and bloodshot, look at my eyes in the third picture. Look through the glaze. Those eyes are empty and sad. If you think I look bad, know that I felt 100 times worse inside. Addiction was taking EVERYTHING from me, and it got worse from there before it got better. Yes, it was as bad as I write in the book. I’m as grateful as I write too. #dkhonest

What an incredible couple of days connecting with people across the Netherlands. Grateful for everyone who joined me as reactions to the book keep pouring in! YES, MY MOM’s STILL GOT IT as she dances with me at the end of the reel ❤️ For the final days of 2023, I will focus on one person or group each day that I’m thankful for in my life. And today, on Thanksgiving, it’s my family. We are far from perfect, but we are awesome in countless ways and fortunate to have each other. We laugh non-stop, hug, and reminisce, and I’m grateful for their unconditional love, support, and presence in my life.
