Dan Karaty Instagram – This is me – about 6 weeks before I went to rehab. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever share it, but I continue to receive messages about my book asking “were you really as bad as you say? You always looked and acted okay.”
Do I look “okay?” Forget that I’m bloated and bloodshot, look at my eyes in the third picture. Look through the glaze. Those eyes are empty and sad.
If you think I look bad, know that I felt 100 times worse inside. Addiction was taking EVERYTHING from me, and it got worse from there before it got better.
Yes, it was as bad as I write in the book. I’m as grateful as I write too.
