Bumped into fabulous comedian and absurdly old mate @ianstonecomedy on the way back from Vienna. Finally we’ve been seen in the same room. Even it is a plane.
Nice of them to give my full name. Regulars will know Lionel was my dads best mate in Swansea but jn the 80s he sold Colin B an Austin Princess for 300 quid which turned out to have a crack in the engine and they didn’t speak again for 40 years. Meanwhile I’m still stuck with the faintly absurd middle name.
I’m in India meeting kids who read my books here. They are brilliant (the kids I mean. Although the books are ok).

I trekked across Delhi in the heat of the afternoon sun to get to the Baháʼà Lotus Temple. Because it’s beautiful but also to prove my love for @omiddjalili. .
Photo I took whilst filming David Baddiel On The Silk Road. I can’t remember where exactly it is but somewhere in Western China…

Waiting for me in my hotel room in Mumbai…very very sweet. If a tiny bit that episode of I’m Alan Partridge. You know the one.
Thanks to everyone who came to my Kent House series chat last night. As they kept on telling me, I sold more tickets than Theresa May, but to clear, it’s not a competition. NARRATOR: It is a competition.
Here.
Some of you may have seen this pic of my younger brother @danbaddielfoto from the NYC Cabbies Charity Calender, as I used it in My Family: Not The Sitcom. But I never realised it made the front page of @newyorkpost
Incredibly sweet song-based reception for me at the second Delhi school I visited today.
With my friend Samuddin who isn’t but could be the Indian @marcmaron
With the fab cast of Whodunnit @parktheatrelondon about to perform today’s matinee show. It was really fun.
Mumbai.
Strutting my kids book stuff with schoolkids in India. So sorry about the shorts.
Signing books, backdropped by the very lovely staff, at Crossword Bookshop in Mumbai. If you flick through you’ll note I’ve cropped this one as I’m wearing shorts and it looked a bit like I had no trousers on.

It’s true.
More lovely people at the very cute Kahani Tree indie children’s bookstore, also in Mumbai.
It’s a thing.
It’s #WorldBookDay and we’re celebrating it with @therealbaddiel spreading love with his delightful stories for kids in Delhi NCR! Catch him in Delhi stores tomorrow. All details are pinned on our feed 📚✨
