Jake Gyllenhaal Instagram – A few years back, I made a film called Stronger, a story about Jeff Bauman. Jeff lost both his legs in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. I was privileged to spend time with Jeff during the process of telling the story of his tremendous courage and resilience. Jeff in turn connected me to Aaron Holm, a hero who has helped so many, including Jeff. Aaron’s own story affected me profoundly: he too lost both of his legs when, after pulling over to the side of the road to help an individual change a tire, he was struck by a passing vehicle. Aaron’s good deed changed his life in an instant. Aaron’s tenacity, positivity and determination led him to found @wiggleyourtoesorg — an organization that has helped hundreds of amputees all over the country.
