This scene is one of the most recognized and the most funny moment from the movie. As Lucky’s stomach was yearning for that delicious barbeque, they cross paths with the lively and energetic “Cuz’n Pete” who welcomes them with open arms. He approaches Lucky as he greets him with a grin. Lucky responds back and delivers the famous line “COUSIN!! WHAT’S UP!!” with that infectious smile. Also Pac definitely took offense to that line “why you so skinny then?” 🤣

To answer your question, yes. According to the late John Singleton, they did film the movie while the 1992 L.A riots broke out and he said that it didn’t affect the schedule at all.
