Jonathan Bennett Instagram – Congratulations @michaelurielikesit on your final show in @spamalotbway (for now) and words cant’t express how grateful I am to this man for two reasons. One, being so talented, booked and blessed, he has to go shoot his TV show which gives me an opportunity to take over for Sir Robin. And Two, because of his unwavering kindness. When I first got this job, Michael was the first person to reach out to me. (I’m sorry I had to show the receipts Michael) He immediately offered his support and heart as well as his time and knowledge to make sure I felt comfortable taking on the role and challenges that come with it. He taught me the ins and outs of Sir Robin, and the joys. He also, created such a fantastic scaffolding for Sir Robin in this production that I get to play in and now I get to steal all his bits. Because as my favorite actor Michael Cane said, “You must always steal, but only from the best people.“ Well, Michael Urie, you are the best. Thank you for letting me find my grail by making my Broadway debut. Happy Trails, to you. (Clean the Spam out of your dressing room, I don’t want it) 😜
