Jonathan Bennett Instagram – Meet Sir Robin. Playing this character, so far has been such a healing journey for my life. Sure he’s the knight that’s afraid to fight, but he’s also the knight who loves music and dancing and most of all MUSICAL THEATER! For the first 15 years or so of my career I had to hide who I was, I had to walk into auditions and on sets and be the “straight hot guy” for the TV show or movie audition. Hide the thing I loved most in the world (musical theater) because if they knew I was listening to Wicked on the drive here, the producers might think I was gay, and then I won’t get the job. 8 nights a week, I stand on a Broadway stage at the St James theater and sing a song at the top of my lungs about how beautiful and magical BROADWAY is. This is so incredibly special and healing for my younger self, I feel like I’ve finally come home. There’s no place like home. Come see @spamalotbway I’m in the show through April 21st!
