Tan Jian Hao Instagram – Made it to Chaozhou, China, to honor my ancestors. Meeting family and uncovering our history has been an enchanting experience. My grandad’s childhood home, Chong Family House, now a historical site, was incredible to see.
I also visited my grandma’s childhood home. She always told us stories about Chaozhou but visiting her birthplace, being at the very spot she took her first steps, where she grew up and learning about her favorite lycee tree made my heart feel really heavy.
