Bass Appreciation Post 🎸💜 This is my first bass, my Yamaha BB1600. I got it in 1987. Gwen’s Dad worked for Yamaha at the time and was able to get me an employee discount. I borrowed $300 from my Dad and bought this beauty. I’ve played this bass on tons of recordings and we have traveled the world together. Yamaha has kindly made me many custom basses over the past 30 years and pretty much all of them have been patterned after this original one.
