Here’s a lil throwback to my DREAMY solo trip to Switzerland and honestly it wouldn’t have been so dreamy if it weren’t for these train rides!! The Swiss travel system is very well connected and super convenient and the beautiful views is ALWAYS a plus ♥️
So if you’re planning to visit, you MUST get the Travel Pass because it gives unlimited travel in any public transport (trains, buses and even boats) without any prior booking!!
Ohh and here’s my 9 day itinerary for the best trip:
Vevey: A cute town on Lake Geneva. Make sure you go to the Saturday market & swim in the lake too!!
Lavaux-Lausanne: Beautiful Wine towns! Go for an e-bike tour here for a one-of-a-kind experience.
Montreux: The town’s promenade is lined with elements that look like a postcard. Also check out – Château de Chillon and Les Avants (beautiful and offbeat!).
Lucerne: Tae a short hike to Mt. Rigi for the sunrise views and cabrio (the world’s only open cable car!!)
Iseltwald-Giessbach: Walk along the idyllic lakeside trail from Iseltwald to the impressive Giessbach Falls!! Don’t skip the boat ride on Lake Brienz.
Grindelwald: One of the most beautiful villages with the Alps as the backdrop😍 Visiting the Jungfraujoch which is the top of Europe is a must!
Spiez: Take a boat ride on Lake Thun! Lakes and vineyards are amazing here.
Lauterbrunnen: 72 waterfalls in this beautiful town, need I say more? 🙂
Interlaken: The most beautiful town. Base yourself here and explore adventure activities (paragliding and ropes park!)
QUICK TIP: You can base yourself out of Vevey, Montreux or Lucerne for the first 4 days and Interlaken & lauterbrunnen for the last 5 days as the other locations are just 35-40 mins away.
AND the best part is that all of these locations are very well connected with the Travel Pass making the whole trip extremely hassle-free ✅
