Aisling Bea Instagram – Avoided drawing attention to myself today @the_rhs Chelsea Flower show, if you zoom in, you will be able to make me out. I LOVE power plants & BIG bushes & there were so many on display today. But my favourite garden was my friend @tommasseyuk ‘s one for @wateraid which he co-designed with Je @studioweave – both seen here with @josh_widdicombe who did not get the “dress like a flower”memo. The garden features flowers and plants which are resilient to extremes in weather, especially rainfall, which is more important than ever with our changing climate. Also some flowers which may be not deemed as fancy and pretty as others, which breaks my hear as they are ALL loveable. Almost one in ten people around the world don’t have access to clean water close to home, and the climate crisis is making it worse. So the mushroom like design is a rainwater-harvesting pavilion inspired by WaterAid’s work in communities around the world. “But tell us about your outfit so we too can completely cover up in the sun!” Well, I tried to wear an eco outfit today featuring a gorgeous but ill advised in the sun jumper from small brand @theslowlove , a flowery dress from @reformation who make their clothes from leftover material, jewellery & a handbag which fits everything from a variety of charity shops & some earth day shoes from eco brand @vivaia_official who make their shoes from recycled materials and try to reduce waste in their factories. Bought everything so you can TRUST ME. Thanks to @thenewtinsomerset & @the_ivy_collection for feeding myself, my brother in law @mkidao & auntie in law – we are stuffed and covered in pollen. And thank you to @lordham for making sure my hair was nice and shiny. xxx
