AJ Michalka Instagram – Last week, I lost a dear friend of mine. Many people have been grieving the loss of Dabney Coleman this past week. Whether you knew him personally or you simply admired his work. I met Dabney on the set of “The Guardian” when I was 10 years old. He had been a mentor and friend of mine for 23 years. I’m so grateful to have enjoyed his salty sense of humor, his deep knowledge of film, his soulful laugh and his kindred spirit. I will always feel a deep connection to this man. For two years he was my acting coach and I don’t think I could’ve learned more as a child actor which only strengthened my tools as an adult. I love you Dabney Wharton Coleman.
