Akilah Hughes Instagram – For the past year, I’ve been working hard on a new podcast for @iheartradio about changing the mascot at my Kentucky high school from the confederate “rebels” to something inclusive that everyone can be proud of. We’ve spoken with students, parents, alumni, the guy who made Gritty, the @florenceyallsbaseball and more to really get to the heart of why it’s taken 70 years to do the right thing.
