Ana Navarro Instagram – This behavior should be beneath the institution of Congress. This line of ad hominem attacks was started by Marjorie Taylor Green. It is infantile, pathetic and embarrassing. But I must say, impressed by @jasminescrockett’s use of alliteration. “Bleach Blonde Bad Built Butch Body.” She could have added another B-word, but I guess six was enough.
Ana Navarro Instagram – When we first moved to Miami in the 1980’s -along with hundreds of thousands of other Nicaraguans fleeing a communist revolution and civil war- there was one place that reminded us of home, @losranchossteak. This restaurant existed in Nicaragua and is the OG of Nicaraguan restaurants in Miami. It’s where my family marked many occasions. I’m so happy they just opened a new restaurant in my hood, #CoralGables. I’ll be there a lot.

It’s great, fresh food at accessible price. Nicaraguan staples are grilled meats, gallo pinto (rice & beans), plantains and vegetable-based sauces, pickled onions, chimichurri. Go give it a try.

The dish I’m eating in last pics is called “vigorón”. It’s one of my favorite foods and so simple. Boiled yucca, pickled coleslaw and pork rinds! In Nicaragua, they often serve it on banana leaves. The ones they make at the Parque de Granada are famous.
