Thereās a lot of things I do to stay fit at 43, eating healthy, watching my portion sizes, drinking plenty of water, and getting quality sleep. But thereās one thing that is my favorite part of my day & routineā¦. MOVEMENT!
No matter where I am, at home, on a work trip or on vacation, I move my body every day. Some days itās heavy weight training, others itās Pilates or cardio. Sometimes I just enjoy a nice leisurely walk outside but the point is movement feels good & is good for us. Body weight exercise are some of the best & most versatile workouts you can do. So hereās a short body weight workout to do pool side, at the beach or anywhere else.
I go for higher reps with body weight so 2-3 sets of 20 reps
-squats
-alternating reverse lunges
-push ups
-jumping jacks (go for 30-60 seconds at a time)
-flutter kicks
