I’m still reeling! So grateful to everyone who helped bring me to last night. Thanks to the @recordingacademy members who voted for me; to all the members of our mighty @redwingrecords and support team: to my band, our brilliant engineer, Ryan Freeland @rjfreeland, and to my wonderful road crew—I thank you all for helping me get our music out to the world.
And to all the friends, family and fans who lift me up with their steady love and support.
And lastly, to @john_prine and all the songwriters who keep inspiring and giving us the joy of sharing their music.
I’m just bowled over..
Love,
💜Bonnie

We’re sharing this performance, from the BBC TV show “Later… With @jools.holland.official,” when Bonnie was joined by her touring band as well as Ireland’s @paulbradymusic (reprising his contribution to the recording on the album.) — BRHQ

Just Like That… the four-time GRAMMY®-nominated, 21st album from Bonnie Raitt is available now!
The 10-track album’s title comes from a line in one of her new original songs (“Just like that, your life can change,”) that has been nominated for “Song of the Year” at the 2023 GRAMMY® Awards. The album features 4 original songs, along with several tracks Bonnie has wanted to record for years, including covers of songs by @thebroslandreth and @tootsmaytalsofficial.
“On this record, I wanted to stretch,” she says. “I always want to find songs that excite me, and what’s different this time is that I’ve tried some styles and topics I haven’t touched on before.”

Today on Wiser Than Me, @officialjld sits down with 74-year-old music legend and Grammy Award winner @bonnieraittofficial. Bonnie talks about performing live, the experience of external vs. internal validation, and managing grief. Julia also gets Bonnie thinking about her songwriting in a whole new light. We got it all!
We want to thank all of our friends and fans for an absolutely fantastic @jazzfest gig. Got to go to the festival on Saturday and enjoy the wonderful music, food and vibes that are simply like no other in the world. Thank you to Quint Davis and his wonderful team for taking such good care of us. This was our 12th appearance at Jazzfest and always one of our favorite stops on every tour. — Bonnie

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Michael Cuscuna, a longtime friend who produced my second album, Give it Up, in 1972. He was smart, funny and brilliant — one of a kind.
As well as being an independent producer, he became a legendary jazz historian and prolific archival record producer who helped reissue recordings and find never-released music for hundreds of albums at @bluenoterecords and his own Mosaic Records from the 1970s until now. “His passion for filling in the blanks in jazz history contributed significantly to deepening the knowledge of jazz and how the genre influenced American culture.” (Washington Post)
I send my condolences to his wife Lisa, their two daughters and grandkids. He will be sorely missed.
