How to apply for PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana? -Visit the official website of PM Suryaghar: pmsuryaghar.gov.in -Click on Apply for Rooftop Solar. – In the next step, people need to register themselves by entering details like State, District, Consumer Account Number, and Electricity Distribution Company. -Then select the option to apply for the Rooftop Solar as per the form. -Now, applicants have to wait for the feasibility approval from DISCOM. Only those who have received approval from DISCOM can install the plant by any of the registered vendors in your DISCOM. -Once installation is over, submit the plant details and apply for a net meter. -After the installation of the net meter and inspection by DISCOM, people will generate a commissioning certificate from the portal. -After receiving the commissioning report, people have to submit the bank account details and a cancelled cheque through the portal to receive a subsidy within 30 days. “In order to further sustainable development and people’s wellbeing, we are launching the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Do you remember the first time you voted? Do you also remember how did you get your voter ID card made? I distinctly remember mine. I had to go to a Municipal Corporation office at 9 AM. Now I decided to reach there at 8:30 AM itself as I thought if I reached early, I would be able to skip the queue and waiting time. Little did I know – everyone else thought the same as me. The moment I reached there, I saw so many people already lined up in queues with all the documents waiting for their turn to apply for their voter ID cards. I had to wait for some 2 odd hours for my turn. I am sure a lot would have a similar story as mine. But to make sure that such stories become a thing of the past, the Election Commission of India has launched this app called Voter Helpline. You can apply for your voter ID card directly from this app. You can download it from the PlayStore/ AppStore. All you need to do is: 1. Download the app 2. Go to Voter Registration option 3. Select Form 6 4. Now you have to add your basic details like name, address, ID proof, photo etc. and confirm the details. Once you have applied, you will be given a tracking number through which you can track the status of your voter ID card. Not just this, if you want to change any of your details like name, address, date of birth, etc, then you can do that as well from this app. Instead of Form 6, you just need to select Form 8 and enter the details as asked. The General Insurance Council, in consultation with all the General and Health Insurance Companies has launched the “Cashless Everywhere” initiative. Under this, the policyholder can get treated in any hospital* (yes, any hospital!) they choose, and a cashless facility will be available even if such a hospital is not in the network of the Insurance Company. There are 3 simple conditions to this: 1. For emergency treatments, the customer should inform the Insurance Company WITHIN 48 hours of admission. 2.
