It all makes sense now… 😅
To all women and girls with dreams – WE have the power of choice. Whether you want to be a CEO, a mom, neither, or both – you possess the power to listen to your inner voice and passions to choose what makes you feel fulfilled.
The problem is, society loves to tell us where we belong, and more importantly, where we don’t.
I’m here to tell you that you belong in ANY room that you want to be in. Though you may have to break through glass ceilings to get there, never let anyone tell you who or what you’re meant to be. 💪🏻
I’ve built multiple multi-million dollar companies. I’ve also built a family. I don’t say this to sell the dream of “having it all” – I say this to prove that life doesn’t need to be either/or for women, despite what the world tries to force us to believe.
I wasn’t forced or tricked into this life – I chose it! And we deserve for our personal choices to hold the same value as our male counterparts’ do.
CONGRATULATIONS to all college grads 🎓 as well as the CEOs, the girls in STEM, the stay-at-home moms, the travelers, the teachers, the bakers and the women climbing up the corporate ladder.
You are capable of ANYTHING you set out to do, and you belong in the spaces you choose to be in. ❤️

Cheers to (finally) taking time off 🥂
Charles took me to Mexico City to celebrate my birthday and I was blown away by its incredible taquerias, cantinas, markets, art museums, cathedrals, lush parks and walkable boulevards.
As an entrepreneur and mom, it can be challenging to take a “true” vacation but whenever I can step away from my daily grind I always feel so much more inspired when I return.
To all my entrepreneurs and people with big aspirations – when’s the last time you took some time off?
Ps : I will post some specific CDMX recommendations on my stories soon!
Cheers to (finally) taking time off 🥂

My byline in Inc. magazine is officially out!
“How the Cupcake Queen Broke Free of Her Brand” – this story is about the evolution of my personal brand and how I struggled to reposition myself from “Mrs Sprinkles” to an entrepreneurial thought leader. 🧁➡️🦈
“In 2012, after nearly a decade of building Sprinkles, my husband and I sold a majority stake of the company to a private equity firm. We were excited to pursue new opportunities, but while my husband quickly embraced the freedom of his new chapter, I faced a unique challenge with mine. The loyal audience I had cultivated was tightly linked to my identity as a baker and integral to my personal brand, and managing its expectations started to weigh heavily on me. I yearned to share my growing identity as an entrepreneur, to mentor other businesswomen, to be recognized as more than just Mrs. Sprinkles. But that was not what my followers had signed up for.”
I’m so excited to share this story of evolution and authenticity with you! On newsstands and online now. Thank you @incmagazine 🤩

I lost SO MUCH money from this HUGE business mistake… 👇🏼👀
It was 2018, Pizzana’s first Academy Awards night…
With all the Oscars parties, we expected a very busy night for takeout. We called in extra staff, bought more ingredients, and folded HUNDREDS of boxes.
The orders started coming in, but it quickly turned into chaos… 🚨
We started to get overwhelmed, but in our eagerness to please everyone, we just kept taking orders. As hard as we tried we just couldn’t keep up. Orders were hours late, some never made it out, and we lost track of who received what.
Then came the storm of texts… 🚨🚨
Friends and acquaintances, all frustrated, asking, “Where’s our food?”
Instead of celebrating a record night, we spent the next day apologizing, refunding every order, and giving out gift cards. What should have been a great sales day was a DISASTER!
As a brand new business, refunding a full night of sales and giving out gift cards on top of it HURT! But it was the right thing to do. That, plus a personal note of apology from Chef Daniele and myself. We’d let our customers down and had to make it right. 🍕
Looking back, we learned so much about what to do (and what not to do) in the business – and we’re MUCH better off for it!
