I ask this question each time I teach because you have to be ok with you. As artists it’s easy to always seek validation from others but that can leave us unsatisfied with ourselves.
Remember to always show up as your best self in every room you enter. It’s is just as important as demonstrating your craft.

This is a full circle moment for me. Teaching at UCLA, a place I was able to cultivate my craft was an incredible experience.
Mentoring and teaching are not emphasized enough in the world of dance. They shaped and guided who I became as a dancer and choreographer. One of my goals this year is to lecture more, especially with younger students. Teaching and learning from these young talents fills me with endless inspiration. If I can motivate and grow the next generation of dancers then I’ve done my part. 🫂
Thank you to UCLA for having me & bringing me back to my roots. I always feel so at home coming back to the campus I used to go to. 💙🐻
