Chen Xiuhuan Instagram – My mother called me early in the morning. She said the people at the RC told her she could meet Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong personally at the AMK hub at 11 o’clock this morning, and that she could have a conversation with him.
Mum said she was very happy, but also nervous at the same time. She asked if I could accompany her to meet the Prime Minister. She wanted to m thank him for the help he had given her. She also said that she made a pumpkin cake last night as her gift of gratitude.
I accompanied her to the AMK Hub, but after walking around the place for some time I realized we were lost. I asked mum to call the people from to find out where the event was.
Later, I spotted a stall at the bus terminal with a large poster of the Prime Minister. I approached the person there, and that was when I found out that they had wanted my mother to give an interview about her feelings about the Prime Minister leaving office.
Sigh, Mummy is getting on in years and might have misunderstood what the RC people had said. It turned out that the PM would not be there and my mother would not be able to meet the PM face to face. Understandably she was a little disappointed. She told the person in charge that she had expected to see Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong himself and that she wanted to thank him and present him with the pumpkin 🎃 cake she made the night before.
Despite her disappointment, my mother still accepted the interview where she thanked the PM and that she hoped he could still partake in her simple pumpkin cake.
The person in charge said he would try to deliver the pumpkin cake to the PM.
Here’s hoping that PM Lee @leehsienloong could get a taste of the pie made by my mother. 🎃🎂
妈妈一早就打电话📞给我说, RC通知她今天早上11点在AMK hub她可以见到总理李显龙，而且还可以跟他说话。😍
妈妈说她很开心，但也很紧张😓问我能不能带她去见总理，她想亲自感谢总理这几年曾经给于她的帮助。 还说她连夜赶工做了一个金瓜糕要送给总理吃，以表达对他的谢意。
我便带她到AMK Hub，可是走来走去找了好久也没有看到总理，
后来终于在巴士🚌总站看到了一个摊位，那里有总理的海报，我便问那里的负责人，一问之下才知道原来是他们要妈妈做一个访问关于对总理卸任的感受。
妈妈年纪大了，可能没有听懂RC的人说的话。原来总理不会来，妈妈也不会见到总理。
后来，妈妈也接受了访问，对着镜头把要谢谢总理的话都说了，也告诉总理希望他能吃她老人家做的简单的南瓜糕😄。
负责人说他们会看看能不能把南瓜糕送到总理手中，妈妈听了很开心的一直跟工作人员道谢。
总理希望您能吃得到妈妈做的🎃糕。
这就是怎么一回事。😆
