We started these deep discussions when she was about 3 years old. “You don’t give juice, mom, you give concentrate”, she said, describing my life lessons. I laughed and wondered if I needed to dilute some of my concentration. When she was little we would “escape” from her younger, rambunctious brothers, finding some quiet near a fireplace or on a walk or we camped out under the covers in my bed. We had long discussions about all of her many, curious questions regarding every aspect and detail of life. Loving parents hope their children listen and make good life choices. There are many hours in a day and decades of parenting—lots of room for errors and it is unrealistic to believe we won’t make mistakes. Sometimes our children are listening even when we are not aware that we are talking! Conscious parenting is difficult in many ways and it constantly places the parent in the position of accountability. We need to talk to our children while being aware of how they will receive our voice and messages. (Not easy.) The actions that we model for them are equally as important as the words we speak. And while 70-90 percent of communication is non verbal, as adults we remember the important things parents (and others) say to us that are beneficial as well as detrimental. Single parenting comes with a host of challenges and as a single mother raising three children I hoped and prayed that my words and actions were substantial enough to at least give them a launching pad with enough spring in it to catapult them into a head start for life and their dreams. Stay tuned for the Mother/Daughter conversation on all things related to life and finding its beautiful meaning. Super proud of this woman/daughter for her life choices, passion for life and her unwavering tenacity to follow her dreams! @conorleslie Hope you can join us, LIVE, Thursday, 3/21/24 6:00 PM EST When my daughter, Conor was a teenager she reminded me constantly , “Mom, I was taking notes.” She explained that during all of our long mother/daughter talks she was listening. Last year I got to do one of my favorite things with her: hop on a plane and travel. (If you are able) there’s nothing I recommend more than traveling to other countries with your mom. It’s a special thing to see the world through the eyes of a woman who’s seen more life & world than you. happy mother’s day mom ♥️🌎 I’ve gotten to collect a lot of memories with my mom in this life- and for that I feel incredibly lucky every day. This was in a car with one of the sweetest cab drivers I’ve met. He shared stories about his life and culture. I asked a few questions and he asked a few questions. I don’t remember his name, but I do remember he was joyful. Exchanges with Strangers are an incredibly beautiful way to stay human… Just a reminder for your Monday. This is an unedited photo, taken on a Sony a7iii (For the couple camera kids out there wondering) photo of a person I caught practically skipping down the sidewalk, swinging their arms- just having a good day. 35mm • ilford hp5 plus film• my page was due for some more black and white content 🤍🖤 September • New York NY • 2023 🩷 TagsConor Leslie Previous articleActress Salem Ilese HD Photos and Wallpapers May 2024Next articleActress Valeria Ortega HD Photos and Wallpapers May 2024
