Dehenna Davison Instagram – A very frustrating day in Parliament today. Despite a brilliant cross-party effort, led by @lloydrussellmp, sadly we did not get the Conversion Therapy Prohibition Bill through the House.
After promising to deliver a conversion therapy ban over five years ago, the Government still have not brought forward their own legislation, and today failed to support the Private Members Bill brought forward by Lloyd.
Though we were unsuccessful today, our cross-party efforts will continue until we finally see this abhorrent practiced outlawed for good, for the whole LGBT community. Nobody should suffer abuse for being who they are. 🏳️🌈 | Posted on 02/Mar/2024 02:40:14
