Today is the day that my Psalms record, All of My Days, releases into the world, and I couldn’t be more excited to share these songs with you ! I have been singing this precious Psalm for almost 15 years now, and I’m still singing it, y’all. I was singing these beautiful promises over myself earlier this week when I started feeling anxious. I’d call this passage from Psalm 103 one of my “lifer verses”, which is a term coined by Drew’s grandmother. “Lifer verses” are the ones that you return to over and over again on the days you feel unsteady. If Psalm 103 was a stone in my pocket, it would be worn smooth by the amount of times I have gone to hold onto it for comfort and hope. These precious promises have helped me remember God’s mercy and love. I’ve sung this verse over my three kids when they were growing in my belly, and I’ve sung it over myself on days when I forget who I am and feel like I’m drowning in shame. I pray this song and the others on this Psalms record that is out today will bring you back home to Love all the days of your life. #fightingwords #fightingwordfriday #fwf #christiantiktok #scripture #bibleverses #verseoftheday #inspiration #devotional #ellieholcomb
Y’all, I am FREAKING OUT because I’m on a billboard in the one and only TIMES SQUARE!!!! Thank you so much @youtubemusic for supporting “All of My Days” in such a BIG way!!!!!
I really couldn’t think of a more perfect way to end a pretty incredible release day for “All of My Days”. I got to sing some of these new songs on the @opry stage while my face was on a billboard in New York City in Times Square. I love the idea that God‘s light and love and truth is going out so many places because these are just his promises to melody. Continuing to pray that all of my days is like a green pasture and quiet water for your soul on all the days of your life.
So fun to play in between @whisperinbillanderson and @vincegillofficial as well, and I even got to see Vince sing with his daughters @corinnamusic and @realjennygill who came to sing with him for his birthday ! It is so sweet to see families a little further down the road making music together! Thanks again to the @opry for having me and to all of you for letting me sing alongside you!
I read a post by @legitsadierob about rebranding today, and it reminded me of this precious moment with my boy. Huck is now 8yrs old and he still holds this as one of his earliest & fondest memories.
He used to love smoothies & one day at about one years old, he accidentally dropped his & it spilled all over the floor. He was very sad at first, and rightly so, and instead of being frustrated that I had another mess to clean up, something in me just started to laugh. I said, “Well Buddy? Were you just wanting to drink your smoothie off the floor?” He started laughing and trying to drink it from the literal floor . It made a bigger mess , yes , but it also turned a potentially sad and frustrated moment into a core memory of joy for both of us.
Truth? Life just hurts sometimes , and there’s nothing that we can do about that. But…. we also get to choose how to view & approach the small disappointments in life.
I had rehearsals today for most of the day and woke up sick with allergies . I’d coughed all night long and my voice was SO tired on the very day I needed to use it . My sweet friend @jdanderson615 called to check in and told me about a sermon she heard on Corrie Ten Boom, who , while trapped in a concentration camp, was thanking and praising God for the fleas, because it gave them an opportunity to share the hope of the gospel with all the other people there. That rebranded my whole day. Instead of viewing my allergies as a hurdle , I began to see them as a way of my body inviting me to rest better , to go to sleep earlier , and to carve out some space and margin.
My friend @christawellsmusic often asks, “What does this closed door or “negative” situation make possible?”
If I don’t have money to buy the furniture to fill the room? More space to play & dance! (Thx @legitsadierob for this ref)
If my spouse is gone on tour all month , that gives me lots of 1 on 1 time with my kids & time to have friends who I haven’t seen in so long time , come over after they go to sleep.
When the traffic is SLOW & I just want to get home , it gives me time to call a friend I haven’t talked to in a long while or listen to a song or podcast I love. #rebrand
I have always wanted to make a Psalms record, and it’s FINALLY HERE!!!!!
More than anything else in my career, people have outright asked me to record some of these scripture songs from my Memory Mondays on Instagram. I’m so glad to report all of those requests have turned into All of My Days, available now!!!!
It takes a whole village to write, record, and release music and I just want to say how much I love my village of people that I get to work with. Feeling like the luckiest and can’t recommend working with each of these people highly enough!
Loved getting to collaborate and write with @jacthompsonmusic, @julieontheinternet , & @benbannister for these songs. And loved working with my producers @banistuci (my amazing dad) & @jacthompsonmusic (my friend and keys player and TM and merch gal and amazing artist). Thx to @loganmatheny for mixing and to @gregbieck @casoncooley for chasing incredible sonic landscapes for us. Thx to all the incredible musicians who helped this music come to LIFE (@nate_dugger, @cheyennemedders, @gregbieck, @enelsonchello, @kyle_cummings, Steven Brewster) as well and to @hannahweisnerart for the incredible artwork and Jon Dicus for the record design .
Thanks to my team at 888 @samantha797 @steelespeakeasy @morganrcombs @karrie_tatum_ @chrisfairbank and my incredible @capitolcmg for launching this music into the world for me !
I’ve got some feelings about the fact that my new Psalms record comes out TOMORROW!!! Feelings that make me want to dance ✨
This Friday 4/12 = Release Day , and I don’t have any chill about it ! Thanks for following and listening and singing along . I made these songs for myself , to help me and my kids remember God’s love and bury truth and light in our hearts , but I also made them for you . Y’all have asked me to do this for years now, and it feels so fun to be able to finally give these songs to you tomorrow ! Get ready to stream, share, and sing along.
Pre-save today (link in my bio) and tag a friend you think would love a record of Psalms in the comments of my previous give-away post , and you could win a very special test pressing of the VINYL hand decorated by me and my kids and a regular vinyl All of My Days record as well.
We all know what it’s like to wait. Waiting is hard. I’ll never forget the day my brother sent me this song he wrote. I cried. We were in a heavy waiting season, and it reminded me that no matter what we’re waiting for, no matter how the story turns out, even when the prayers didn’t get answered in the way we wanted them too, we never wait or weep alone.
Thx @benbannister for reminding me of that and for letting me record this song for my psalms record, All of My Days! I hope this song reminds you of that today too. You never wait alone.
Also, don’t miss my brother’s amazing music @benbannister . It will fill your heart with all the good stuff !

What a gift @lauren_daigle’s Kaliedescope Beach Weekend with her wonderful band and crew was!! Had an amazingly fun night last night in the round with my friends and kindred spirits and TREASUrES, @lauren_daigle , @nataliehemby , & @thejasoningram. Spoiler Alert! Watch to the end of this reel to see my hair looking hilariously like Troll hair after Lauren and I were undone by @nataliehemby raising her hand after the third chorus of Pontoon and said “hallelujah!” (Thx for capturing all the amazing pics and vids @ashleymaewright )!!!!!
Got to open yesterday with my incredible band and crew , @jacthompsonmusic , @jschrodt , who brought his amazing little boy, and @zandymowry , who brought her adorable son and my godson along for his first bus tour date! Thx to our crew this run @jiren.thee.grey, tour managing and running sound , and @jasminemullen , who came along to help watch the baby while we were on set !
Then!!! Today I got to hang at the beach with Natalie and close the night out with seeing @jonbatiste play an incredible show opening for the third night of Lauren’s beach weekend , where I got to watch the show from the crowd right in front of the stage !!!, and it was all a VIBE!
Lauren and her entire team and the team at @topeka.music.vacations was amazing to work with. I can’t wait to be on the road again with all these amazing talents and souls in May/June !
I love this different version of Psalm 108 that I’m singing today. I don’t know about you, but so many days, my heart doesn’t feel steadfast. I love how David is saying, “Wake up harp and lyre! I’ll wake up with the dawn to praise you God. Sometimes, I need to get up early and take some deep breaths to remember who I am and who God is. Do I always do that? NO! But I love that as forgetful and NOT steadfast as my heart can be, God’s love and faithfulness reach to the skies. Maybe you need a moment to take a breath and remember that you are loved by the steadfast love of God? I know I did today. Breathe in: You are loved. Breathe out: Even when your heart isn’t steadfast. Breathe in: God is faithful. Breathe out: Even when you are not. Thanks be to God.
This verse is one of the new entries in my brand new extended “Fighting Words” Devotional if you want to read more, and you can SING ALONG with me, in a slightly different translation (….I call it ESV……Ellie Singing Version) of this verse on my new Psalms Record, “All of My Days”.

Does this happen to anyone else ? 😅
Maybe NOT selecting all the right pictures means we ARE human? Proof that no one can be perfect ? Proof that we all make mistakes? Proof that we can get it wrong AND try again? Comment below if this happens to you! Tell me I’m not alone. 🤍🙏🏼✨

Sweet @drewholcombmusic surprised us all, and flew home in his one day off this week on tour ! We were all delighted ! And then , bless his heart, he came down with some kind of stomach bug . Holding him and the rest of his tour up to the light, prayin’ they’ll stay healthy to do the good work they are all doing , and speaking of light , GO see @drewholcombmusic and his band SHINE . They put on an unbelievable show you won’t want to miss !
Love you babes , and love the moment at the end of this where our youngest is trying to get away from his big sister’s wet hands that she had just washed and didn’t have time to dry before we took this picture 🤣 #reallife .
Drew, I love doing real life with you, all the ups and downs . Thx for coming home to see us and thankful you’re already on the mend !
Have you ever felt lost? Confused? Abandoned in your hour of need? Lonely? Afraid? I think we all know what it’s like to long for a little light in the dark sometimes. What I love about this verse is that it’s such a simple metaphor. God’s word is a lamp. When we are stumbling, struggling, lost, confused, lonely, exhausted, and at the end of rope in a dark night of the soul, there is a lantern we can hold. It may not reveal the whole grand journey ahead of us, but it will give us light for the next right thing. God’s word has given me hope when it felt like my soul might never sing again, so it is a joy to sing this verse from Psalm 119 with you today. My hope in this little corner of the internet, is to help anyone who stumbles onto my page to bury a little truth and light in their hearts. As I have done that over the years, it’s changed me from the inside out. This is the verse printed beautifully in gold foil on the back of my “Fighting Words” devotional, and I realized that I had never really written about it in the book, so one of the new devotionals in the expanded, limited version we’re releasing THIS WEEK (April 16th), tells the story of how this verse marked me as a little girl and set me on a trajectory of holding onto light even in the dark places. I hope you’ll sing it with me today and keep holding onto the light with me.

I’m gonna start off today by saying how grateful I am to have known the light of Mandisa . I found out she passed while I was on Instagram live this morning and talked about the kind and expansive soul she was. It hurts to lose a light like that . It just does , I took a moment to cry , to thank God for Mandisa and for the hope of heaven, and the most natural thing to do to me was to keep singing scripture, to keep holding onto the light and the hope laced throughout the Bible. Thanks for holding onto hope with me. Sandra sang last night , “If it’s not ok, it’s not the end.” It’s never ok to lose someone, especially when they are far too young, so I am holding onto the hope that one day every tear will be wiped away from every eye and every sad thing will come untrue .
Until that day, I’m gonna keep trying to tuck truth and light in my heart and invite you to do the same, because it’s real dark down here, but the light is always stronger. I think a way to honor Mandisa in my mind is to hold onto the light and hope she always sang and shared about; so Here’s my original FWF post from today:
It was 1989, and I was 8 years old when I walked into an arena full of people singing “Thy Word”. Almost every person in the place had their hands raised. Wild. Amy Grant was sitting on the front of the stage with bare feet, and this moment marked me as a kid. It wasn’t a common thing for me to see anyone raising their arms while singing about God at that point in my life, much less to see a whole arena of people doing this. I remember thinking, “Man, this song must be true. There must be something about the word of God that really is like a lamp, and if that’s the case, I want to hold onto it.” At that point, I still got scared in the dark, and I loved the idea that I could carry a light with me everywhere, if I just had God’s word to hold onto.

Does anyone else need this reminder on Instagram or is it just me ? Comment below if you needed to hear this , and then go on to bed ! You’re in control. You can do it .
Lessons from the garden …aka….what not to do , by me, gardener Ellie 👩🏼🌾 , with my leftover @opry hair under an @themasters hat!
I love how the garden is so often my teacher . This weekend I learned the following lesson : Don’t let the things that are not bringing fruit and that are stealing life and health from other things you’re trying to grow take deep root in your garden/life ….unless you enjoy spending both days of your weekend for a few hours digging up weeds and ruining your nails
🤣🌱✌🏼👩🏼🌾 🤍 .
Happy gardening , in your garden and in your life !
As the sun comes up this morning, with all it’s blue dawn, glittering glory, I pray it will remind you that all the color and light of every sunrise carry the light and color of God’s mercy for you. As the sun sets this evening, may it’s golden orange, pinks, and reds dance across the sky and paint a picture of God’s abiding and unfailing love for you. Even on days you forget, on days you don’t have it in you to wait or watch or wonder any longer, let the sun remind you each morning & evening, of God’s love & mercy. 💛🤍🧡❤️🩵🩷💜#fightingwords #fightingwordfriday #fwf #christiantiktok #scripture #bibleverses #verseoftheday #inspiration #devotional #ellieholcomb
I have been battling allergies and a cough that keeps waking me up in the middle of the night…and it’s really hard on my vocal chords. I’m also in the midst of a very busy work season, in the studio working on more music, rehearsing and prepping to head back out on the road with @lauren_daigle, and trying to parent solo while my husband is out on tour. It’s not nothing, and I woke up one day this week just completely exhausted, feeling like not enough. I don’t have enough energy to get all the things done, not enough voice to sing, not enough patience to parent with the kindness and gentleness that I want to, but as I circle back to this verse, I see so clearly. God has more than enough. His love and faithfulness are limitless. Taking a deep breath as I hold onto this verse in my heart, and even on the days when my singing voice isn’t totally there, I’m asking God to make my heart one that takes a steadfast trail back to His heart, that my heart , even when it’s tired and sick, will be one that “sings His praises”. It is always always a game changer for my SPIRIT to remember God’s goodness and say “thank you”. I think God knows it’s good for our hearts to walk in gratitude and praise…b/c even if we are facing a season of feeling exhausted and weary or sad and alone, we always have something to be thankful for, the steadfast Love of God. Oh God, help us remember, even on the days we forget and fail to remember Your love, you are steadfast and faithful.

🤎 NEW BOOK OUT NOW 🤎
This whole Fighting Words project started with one conversation…one conversation with one friend who was walking through the shadows of severe depression. So we started memorizing scripture together and called the verses our “Fighting Words”.
Over the years, Fighting Words has grown from a conversation, to a series on Instagram, to a published devotional. And today, it is now a devotional in its expanded form! “Fighting Words: 100 Days of Speaking Truth into the Darkness, Expanded Limited Edition” is AVAILABLE NOW!!!
This new addition carries ten extra devotionals and one more beautifully printed scripture memory invitation. I realized there were some “lifer” verses, as one of my grandmother’s calls them, that I didn’t include in the first edition. “Lifer” verses are the ones that have held me steady through the storms and shadows over the years. These verses also helped inspire the making of my new Psalms album, “All of My Days”, and each new devotional that’s grounded in the Psalms has its own song to go with it!!!
I’m thrilled to continue the journey of memorizing scripture and burying the truth of God’s word into our hearts together, and I hope this new edition of “Fighting Words” can be the reminder you need to keep holding onto the truth and the light of God”s word, whatever storms may come. 🤎
Also, it’s just SO pretty, and looks lovely stacked next to her little sister book, the original navy edition of “Fighting Words”. Decorate your tables with pretty books and your heart with lovely truths.✨ Happy release day to “Fighting Words: Expanded Limited Edition” !! Can’t wait for you to read (and SING) along with me.
It’s almost Mother’s Day! My friends at @lifeway have put together a special collection of bible studies, devotionals, and study bibles for all of the mothers in your lives. And one of them is my own devotional, “Fighting Words”, both the original and expanded limited editions!! To check out the full collection, head to the link in my bio. 💕
Welcome to the world my new expanded Limited Edition of Fighting Words ! She’s the little sister of my original Fighting Words devotional, and has 10 new devotions that share some of my “Lifer” verses that somehow I forgot to include in the original devo, as well one more beautifully printed scripture memory invitation page! She’s pretty and shines just like her big sister, plus they look great together on a shelf or coffee table ! Also, for every Psalm I added to this new devotional, I recorded a SONG to go with it on my companion Psalms album that I released last week, All of My Days , so you can bury some truth and light in your heart and then sing the light into the darkness in your own heart and in the weary world around you!
Thanks so much to my incredible team @lifewaywomen and @bhpub for helping to create this little beauty and send her out into the world ! And thanks to my little girl for helping me make this little video to share with y’all! I pray this new devo will be a blessing to you. It sure was a gift to write it ! So cheers for speaking truth into the darkness!
P.S. These make GREAT Mother’s Day gift or a graduation gift as well!
