Inside the horse-barn was written, in what seemed like enormous letters to this 10 year old girl, the word: “REGULATE”!
@WarrenG was heavy on the radio in Lagos back then; so this Nigerian girl knew all the words. Or at least she thought she did (had no idea what “213” & “LBC” meant until I moved to Los Angeles in 2013)!!
Never in my wildest dreams did I even consider I would visit America, let alone be flourishing here creatively, as well.
I had not begun manifesting this yet…
This night felt like reliving my childhood with hip-hop…in America…where Hiphop, as I know it, began. In a room filled with the same very legendary artists…dancing and having a blast!!!
