This is a scene from Villains Inc. This was the very first thing we shot, day one of production all the way back in February 2020. It’s feels like 10 lifetimes ago. It is at least two, since my family has added two more wonderful children since we shot this. But I digress. This is one of my favorite moments out of many in the film. I’m very proud of this film. I’m very proud of the performances of @glozell @colinmochrie7591 @remallory and Jason Gray and everyone else involved. I love the cinematography of @bendingthelight and the color grade of @drewtekulve, the production design of @ajcook3, the hair and makeup by @radwombat and team, the wardrobe by @emmamuers and @sariahmay09, the producing of @themattmoen and @chris_crandall the executive producing plus acting of @patricknelson72 and countless others that got it to this point. And the biggest thanks of all to @cateyjoy for being with me through everything. Life is a lot better with people you love surrounding you. Yesterday, we had the joy of visiting @chocchildrens to deliver custom magic kits we assembled in collaboration with The Society of American Magicians.
Unfortunately, cancer affects all of us in some way, but finding joy, especially through magic, is something we can all share.
A huge thanks to our dear friend @glozell and my magical father-in-law @revlakmagic for sparking such genuine smiles on both the kids’ and parents’ faces.
