Everyone behave yourselves with disabled people…it’s hard enough to be sick- sorry I didn’t break out in stripes to make it clear enough that my body is in agony all of the time. A heart not working is the most pain I’ve ever felt and the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced and it happens most days so please be gentle on my page it’s my place to imagine myself more comfortable than I am.

A few years ago in the ICU I could tell my spasms weren’t stopping, my blood pressure was dropping, I couldn’t talk or hear people, I was underwater. You know in that moment somehow it’s up to you and that you have a choice. Part of me was so worn down and in constant pain (the pain of heart attacks back to back) and I didn’t feel I could handle anymore. But, I knew I loved life and I loved my people and I had to swim upwards. The room was loud the nurses and doctors whirling around pumping me with nitroglycerin. It is so hard sometimes but…I WOULD HAVE MISSED ALL OF THIS. I am so grateful for all of this joy, these friends, these mentors and legends who have taught and protected me fiercely. I had a rough hand dealt but at the same time I’d be lying if didn’t say I was also lucky as hell. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to care, to show it, to share your world with me because I see my face in the videos and despite all of the bad stuff I’m this happy. I hope I can give you all the love back and more with what I’m given.

There were used bikes for sale on side of the road like in Paris so I rode one home. Her name is Rita and we have plans every Sunday to go to the Farmers market by where I live with that handy basket. My birds think I got them something great so we’re happy for them too.
