Hope Solo Instagram – You can have many different mentors in life. Or you may be lucky to have only one. I had mentors that came and went at different stages in my life. Their lessons helped to shape me and never will be forgotten. None have been more impactful in my life then my mom and my Grandma. They each represent love, acceptance, and were strong women that didn’t fit into the categories society wanted them to, long before it was celebrated the way it is today. Both captained a boat, my mother was a black belt in karate and my Grandmother a speed skater when girls weren’t allowed to skate. They taught me to see myself as equal regardless of gender. They never backed down. 💛 Mentors are so crucial and that’s why I joined Mentorcam, to provide mentorship to others.
