Ida Nerina Instagram – It all began with a dream. To provide a safe sleeping place for babies… to help mothers in need. And babies. and that we did- as best as we could, to some of them at least.
After months, nay, years of us complaining to each other –
January 2017 Tini, Lina, Salina, Nadeeya and I got together and we went for it! Thanks Tini for jumpstarting it.
We met too many scared young women, with no one to turn to for help. Some unwanted… others eager but not able to provide for their yet to be born child. We met incredible people who strive so hard to make life just a little bit easier for these women and girls. (Al Fatihah Vimmy) I’d like to hope we made a good difference to their lives. We even roped in our own toddlers to help…😅
We must say a special thank you to our champion, Nadeeya , especially during the MCO, where requests for baby boxes were flooding us- and being the nearest to the office, she almost single handedly made it happen. And we managed to send out nearly a hundred boxes, despite the situation of that time.
5th March 2024.
We packed up the last of our @babyboxmalaysia and divided all the remaining new and preloved clothes for babies & toddlers to be passed on to various parties for distribution for those who need.
What an incredible journey and lesson this was for all of us involved. We managed to do pop ups for awareness, held intimate talks about breastfeeding amongst others. Thank you to all our incredibly kind supporters @drypers @happikiddo to mention a couple…(and others I may not have mentioned here…) But you should know… NONE of this would have even seen the light of day without your kindness Mariam thank you thank you.
What an honour it was to be a part of this. It was a bit emotional for Nadeeya and I as we packed up but it is what it is…. We soldier on. Onwards and upwards!
