Jamie Lee Instagram – Three years ago, pandemic, in NY, just left my marriage, living alone for the first time in ten years, future very unknown, it’s cold and raining, the kind of diagonal rain that directly attacks your eye balls to the point where you’re like ok we’re rewetting our contact lenses with cloud juice that’s fun, Bill Lawrence calls, I continue to get pelted by precipitation as he asks me “what do you wanna do next?” “Seek shelter.” “No, like in your career.” “Oh right. Well I just left my chance to have kids at the exact age my gynecologist is telling me I shouldn’t wait any longer to have kids. Would be easier to just have a baby with a friend and figure the love shit out on my own timeline. So… I think that could be a show.” This is a show about possibility and it takes someone who is a total force of honesty, never afraid to “go there,” imo THE modern day philosopher @nikkiglaser to partner up with and tell that kind of story. When I watch Nikki do stand up, I’m never not blown away – by her POV, by her fearlessness. I’m really excited she’s doing this with me. Also it’s raining as I type this. And I’m in NY again.
