Jessica Pimentel Instagram – Has this happened to you? How long is this going to last??!!! In August 2023 I lost my sense of smell. This was after music festival tour season so I’m guessing a viral side effect. For months I could smell nothing until the end December 2023 when I was hit with another viral infection after a tour run which restored partial sense of smell, but now almost all my favorite scents smell the same and terrible, especially anything with a strong alcohol base. For example, Listerine, husband’s cologne, my favorite perfume, windshield wiper fluid and wine all smell the same and deadly. It also applies to my favorite conditioner and incense. It kind of smells like if you ate a box incense, pooped it out and let it get moldy… I can however, smell essential oils, menthol and things on fire. Anything with a faint smell is still almost non-existent.. If this happened to you how long did it take for things to get back to normal?
