Johanna Griggs Instagram – Tonight on @bhgaus @petercolquhoun and I showcase the fabulous @peppertreepassivehouse designed by @asa_alexandersymesarchitect and built by @souter.built ❤️ What makes this home particularly special is that it’s been built around a 60year old pepper tree which provides a beautiful canopy over the V-shaped building, They’ve built a small home…. but to an incredibly high standard. (Its floor plan is 60 square metres inside.) It’s very energy efficient, and is full of clever space saving ideas. It’s won over a dozen sustainability, construction and eco-home design and build awards. Whilst Adam works from the new addition during the week the #peppertreepassivehouse is available to rent out on weekends… and has given its owners Adam and Ame an unexpected amount of joy…. as it’s regularly used as a location for engagements, anniversary celebrations and weddings. (Not surprising really – it’s absolutely stunning!) I hope you are inspired by what you see on #betterhomesandgardens tonight. We are on 7 or 7two depending on which state you are in.
