There are a lot of great things about doing the parade, but to me, the best part is getting to cheer on friends in other casts. We get to giggle and take pics in our mismatched costumes. There’s no stress around the event, just joy and fun. And one of the many reasons I love Broadway. Love this community so damn much.

I’m exhausted and very achey, but filled with everything I’ve always wanted to be doing from morning to night. Obvi this kind of schedule is insane, but my artist’s cup truly runneth over. Had a very happy birthday celebrating with my friends by dancing around LIC to Taylor Swift. I am so grateful for this wonderful community of people who are so down to do fun things like this. Especially thankful for @whatthefloat and @tuckbstamp for making this night happen. Yesterday was everything I could’ve ever dreamed and I’m just so filled up with love and happiness.

One more reflection of 2023: Probably one of the best parts of last year was taking the leap and going to Iceland on a solo trip. It was incredible. It was also difficult. I planned the entire thing myself, spent hours and hours researching, and I felt like it truly paid off. I challenged myself in ways I didn’t know I needed to. I got so comfortable being by myself and with my own thoughts, and following the things that amazed me and intrigued me. This video is a little BTS of what a lot of the trip was like. I set my tripod up and started filming to get some great shots. However, this was after/during me crying in the car because I had been driving in white out conditions by myself for about 2 hours. And my original plan was to then drive another 3 to the next waterfall. I was in awe of the natural beauty around me, freezing cold, trying to keep the tears from falling, and also trying not to slip on the ice myself. I look back and kind of laugh now at that deep exhale I make toward the end. Because I was in a position where I HAD to keep moving forward. And I made it through to the next moment. (I ended up cutting my sightseeing short and going straight to the spa I had planned to visit lol). But I made it through and I will always be proud of myself for that. And I can’t wait to start planning my next adventure.

As artists our year can be determined so much by the work we do. And this was a great year professionally for me, but even more this year was for adventures. I took a huge leap and took some big adventures alone, fell in love with solo traveling, but also had so much fun with my friends going on so many adventures. So here’s to more of that in 2024.
