Project 2025 is a far-right manifesto that would destroy the federal government as we know it and disrupt the lives of every person in America.
It would enable Trump & Republicans to enact widespread, wholesale policy violence, and it must be rejected.
And if Trump becomes president again (likely for life) those two corrupt justices will retire so Trump can replace them with 30 or 40 something year old versions of themselves.
That would mean Trump would be the one to appoint FIVE OUT OF THE NINE justices on the court. It would be his court majority in place for likely the rest of our lives. Let that sink in.
Every civil right of the 20th centuryโ everything that made Black people, women and nonwhite immigrants full citizens, and every regulation of big corporations and oligarchs, the Voting Rights Act and as Clarence has signaled, likely even Brown v Boardโ would be gone, likely for good. This election is NOT about Joe Biden. Itโs about US, and whether WE will retain any rights at all after 2024. Wake TF up, people. Trump is not coming back into power to give you a โstimmyโ check. That was due to the pandemic he mismanaged, not because he magically loves sending Black people money. WAKE UP! Donโt walk us deliberately into the #handmaidstale or 1930s Germany!

I think people in the U.S. often forget that a substantial share of Palestinians are Christians. But it makes perfect sense. When Abraham answered the call of the Hebrew God and traveled with his family from Ur (modern day Iraq or thereabouts) to Canaan, he fathered three religions. The descendants of his eldest son with his wifeโs maid Hagar (who was Egyptian) named Ishmael, was the father of Islam. His son Isaac, with his wife Sarah, is the father of Judaism. And the followers of Isaacโs descendant Jesus, created Christianity. Good on POTIFEX for looking in on the Christians of #gaza. ๐ญ๐

The Pope says he calls the Catholic Church in Gaza every day.
โEvery evening at 7pm, I call the parish of Gaza.โ
โSometimes they go hungry โ there is a lot of suffering.โ
Last December, an Israeli sniper shot and killed a mother and a daughter on Saturday as they left the church building. On the night before the attack, bombings intensified in the area around the parish compound, injuring three people inside the church. And on the day of the sniper killing the two women, a tank fired a rocket which struck the Convent of the Missionaries of Charity, destroying the buildingโs generator and setting off a massive blaze.
At the time, the Pope labelled Israelโs actions in Gaza as terrorism.
Over 600 people, both Christian and Muslim, continue to shelter in this church to this day.
This is not ok, folks. Samuel Alito is not just an insurrectionist, he is also a clear Christofascist. #impeach

AIPAC, a pro-Republican, conservative political PAC, is actively spending in Democratic primaries, targeting progressives for replacement with conservative Democrats. Theyโve succeeded in Oregon. And theyโre not explicitly running the campaigns on the Israel-Gaza issue. Other targets on the list include @coribush @aoc @repbowman @ayannapressley @summerleeforpa among others.
From @politico:
This cycle, they are going even bigger. AIPAC is expected to spend $100 million across its political entities in 2024, taking aim at candidates they deem insufficiently supportive of Israel, according to three people with direct knowledge of the figure, who were granted anonymity to discuss private meetings.
The strategy has taken on new urgency this election season from donors animated by the Israel-Hamas war. AIPACโs biggest targets are members of the so-called Squad of progressive House Democrats who have been openly pressuring the administration to call for a cease-fire. But AIPACโs ambitions are broader. United Democracy Project, the groupโs super PAC, is monitoring 15 to 20 House races and polling in many of those districts, according to a person directly familiar with UDPโs strategy and granted anonymity to discuss the approach.

Two progressive Democrats lost their primary races in Oregon Tuesday after they were vastly outspent by more right-leaning candidates.
Susheela Jayapal, the older sister of Congressional Progressive Caucus Chair Pramila Jayapal, lost to Maxine Dexter, who received around 30 times more money than Jayapal, including over $2 million from the pro-Israel, AIPAC-affiliated 314 Action Fund. Susheela Jayapal called for urgent campaign finance reform after the vote.
Elsewhere in Oregon, progressive candidate Jamie McLeod-Skinner was defeated by Janelle Bynum, who received nearly half a million dollars from 314 Action Fund.

๐จBREAKING: Today, in a 6-3 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that South Carolinaโs congressional map is not a racial gerrymander, reversing a lower court decision that struck down the map. South Carolina will not have a fair map for 2024 and this decision will hamper the ability of voters to fight unfair maps in the future.ย
The majority opinion authored by Justice Samuel Alito and joined by the courtโs conservative majority holds that the stateโs 2022 congressional map is not unconstitutionally racially gerrymandered and changes the standards required to bring racial gerrymandering claims.ย
This decision stems from a lawsuit filed by the South Carolina State Conference of the NAACP and a voter that alleged that the stateโs congressional map drawn with 2020 census data is an unconstitutional racial gerrymander that intentionally discriminates against Black voters.ย ย
