Katie Melua Instagram – What a joy celebrating songwriting recently.
Firstly, @theothersongs at the @thelondonpalladium honoured @jinjinofficial, @tobygadmusic, @bernietaupinofficial, @maxrichtermusic and many brilliant songwriters, the beating pulse of our industry.
Then the @ivorsacademy awards presented @springsteen, @honeymoon, @kaetempest & @speakerscornerquartet I was deeply moved by so many of the speeches especially @raye’s speech about her grandad who’s a songwriter too. Then the best album went to the brilliant @yussefdayes.
It was an absolute honour being on the judging panel, the only award show not influenced by record companies or publishing companies, but by the writing community.
