Presence over Productivity
Was this the theme for anyone else over the last month? While I thought I would be super productive and be able to do it all… turns out, I couldn’t. All I could do was be with family and surrender to each day.
In this season of life, I’ve realized each day is beyond unpredictable. Our most important role is to be the steady and safe place for all the playtime and big feelings. If we start something, it will most likely take a few attempts because of interruptions— and that’s okay. You have time. Take your time.🙏🏼🤍 (the Christmas tree took at least 6 days to completely come down)
This past month included a lot of sickness, a long school break, tons of holiday activities, travels, hosting, family FaceTimes, and choosing presence over productivity.
If you’re reading this and you’re in the same spot, you’re not alone and you’re not behind. I hope you’re able to take some time this weekend to set yourself up for the new year. And if your tree is still in your living room… ours is too, but it’s just in a bag now!

I know some days you feel like you can’t move. I feel your stillness deeply… and I know it’s not always easy stillness— it’s mud, it’s feeling stuck, it’s analysis paralysis. I understand why you’ve gone quiet and why you choose peace over noise. I want you to know that you are so worthy of love— genuine love that fills your heart and makes you feel safe and seen. You deserve fulfillment and to feel whole— as if nothing is missing… pure contentment. You deserve so much joy that the mundane starts to feel like an extraordinary life.
