I told Harper that she looked like a little lizard 🦎 at @boulderdashclimbing yesterday. Some of the walls she raced up, some of them took a bit more time to accomplish, but she refused to give up. On her last climb, I could see her little limbs shaking, as she tried to hang on to a peg that was the size of a floss container. I’m constantly in awe of her enthusiasm and the joy she finds in things that challenge her. She would tell you that she does NOT find joy in being challenged, but the last photo in this bunch I snapped as she collapsed to the ground after 90 mins of climbing. Pretty sure that is a happy kid – with kind of ridiculous biceps. Deliriously exhausted, but happy…and hopefully proud of herself. Because I sure-as-shit am proud of her. ❤️ PS. Anyone else here ever look at their kid(s) and think “God, I wish they could gift me 10% of their energy next Mother’s Day. I’d never need coffee again…”?

Anyway, I’m absolutely LOVING the color of this Hometown yarn (“ATHENS BLUE SKY”) by @lionbrandyarn. I’m currently making Harps another sweater – since she no longer fits in all of the other ones I made for her (I will not cry over her growth spurts. I will not.) This sweater will be “oversized” so she can wear it for longer. Giving me the illusion that she isn’t growing. 🤷🏼♀️ Gotta do what I can. Checkout the other Hometown yarn colors if you’re looking to start a new project. It looks like there are some fairly new colors on the Lion Brand website. The blues and greens had me like 🤩🤩. (This is not an ad).

We had SO MUCH FUN at the @venturaraceway last night. I grew up watching and going to a lot of NASCAR races, so I was really excited to take Harper to her first race. She had a blast and can’t wait to go back. Gave me feels. 🥰 Also, swipe to see how cute this little nugget looks in her winter outfit. She’s started to carry purses and I’m all about it.

🚨 Drug store find 🚨 I’m obsessed with this liquid eyeshadow by @lorealparis. Quick application, dries fast…and-it-doesn’t-crease. 🙌🏼 I wear it by itself or will add powder shadow over it in the crease and corner of my lid. Nice addition to my makeup kit. 😍 #notanad

Back to school shopping? Um…sort of.
I’ve spent the last week and a half under the weather (not Covid) and I’m finally starting to feel like myself again, so we took our annual trip to Target for back to school supplies.
Yup. We reeeeally waited until the last minute.
That’s ok though. It seemed like everything made it into our cart along with Harper’s new crayons.
Here are some video clips I was able to get while trying to push the cart along….(every time @isa_barash told Brandon that they needed something for their house – example: a lettuce spinner – I agreed with her. Because that’s how we roll. #girlgang)
Side note: it’s clear Harper loves this store. When she walked up with a taco piñata I nearly lost it. 😂
I made Harper a Lego table ($30 coffee table from Target, Lego Plates off Amazon and some gorilla glue. She loves it) and sometimes I will find the funniest looking Lego people hanging out there. Here is a Disney princess. Wearing a welder’s mask. Holding a cell phone. If your kids play with Lego’s and you have some of the silly people they’ve built, post a pic and tag me in the caption. I’m sick and I’d love the entertainment. I’d even settle for some stories about their toys in my comment section. ♥️ #notaLegoad
